This week we have celebrated the kick-off of the summer season … The days are getting warmer and we are looking forward to our next vacation destination. If you have planned to go to Morocco this summer, we have thought of you!

Here is our selection of our 10 favorites Riads where you will absolutely have to stay!

We no longer introduce you Marrakech, this city that is making us dream a lot… The summer is very hot there, but you did not want to hear anything and you are still planning to go there during your holidays? We recommend you of course to choose a place where you can fully enjoy the swimming pool …

Where to stay?
Riad Yasmine

We have no hesitation in recommending you Riad Yasmine. For those who do not know this place yet, you need to know that it is the most instagrammable pool of the moment! We love everything about the place: the 100% Moroccan decoration chosen with refinement, the incredible green of the courtyard making us feel like we are in the middle of an Oasis in the desert, and the rooftop that will welcome you to drink your mint tea by nightfall !

Riad Sultana

Our other favorite place goes to Riad la Sultana! We can not remain impassive in front of  this sublime Moroccan decoration, subtly mixed with art deco furniture. We also dream of diving in the swimming pool, or staying in the shade under the columns that stand in front of us … A place to discover as soon as you can!

Sultana Marrakech

Sultana Marrakec

Essaouira, formerly known as Mogador, never ceases to charm us. We love to get lost in the streets of this pretty citadel and breathe the fresh air of the seaside. This Moroccan city with its typical charm, imprint of spirituality, is still very preserved, and constitutes an ideal stop during your stay in Morocco.

Where to stay ?
Villa Quieta

If you want to stay away from the noise and bustle of the city, while enjoying the typical charm of a Moroccan place, the Villa Quieta is for you. This former family palace is surrounded by a large flower-filled garden on the seafront.

You can enjoy this quiet place by relaxing by the pool, or have breakfast on the terrace facing the sea. This place will amaze you with its beauty, and its traditional decoration: zelliges, large doors and ceilings in Wood, indoor fountain …. All the ingredients are there to fully enjoy your Moroccan immersion 😉

Rabat, imperial city, and capital of Morocco, is still mostly unexplored by the tourists. Enjoy it, Rabat is very rich culturally and full of historical heritage, it constitutes therefore a must stop during your road trip in Morocco.

Riad Zyo

In the heart of the medina of Rabat, there is a Riad full of charm where you will find some quietude and comfort during your stay. This Riad embodies this perfect encounter between tradition and modernity that we like so much, thanks to its refined decoration, which nevertheless retains some touches proper to the Moroccan decoration.

Riad Marhaba

Another Riad in the Medina of Rabat drew our attention: the riad Marhaba (Welcome, in Arabic). This old house has been renovated with the greatest care, to give you the impression of being at home. Tangier, a city at a crossroads… It attracts our attention, amazes us, disturbs and seduces. This city is known for its attractiveness to a large community of artists, who found their inspiration during their stay in Tangier. Matisse, Delacroix, Stein, Beckett or Bowles, are a few examples. “Tangier is really the pulse of the world, like a dream stretching from the past to the future …” wrote William Burroughs in 1954.

You can not visit the North of Morocco without a stop at Tangier.

Where to stay ?
Dar Chams Tanja

If you want to be in the heart of the action, there is nothing better than a stay in the Medina of Tangier at the Riad Dar Chams Tanja. You will love the decoration full of charm, and the panoramic terrace with a breathtaking view on the bay of Tangier!

Villa Joséphine

The Medina, it’s not a thing for you. Are you rather like to enjoy your stay in peace, away from the tumult of the city? We found THE IDEAL PLACE for you: Villa Josephine. This house was built at the beginning of the 20th century, and has retained all its old world charm, where the sweetness of life has remained preserved …

Built by Walter Harris, the Times’ famous columnist, it was as well the last summer residence of the Glaoui, Pasha of Marrakech. Villa Joséphine remains one of the most spectacular and prestigious properties of the Old Mountain. Neither Dar, nor Riad, its Mauritian aspect, its balcony view on the strait, a taste of Cap d’Antibes and a fragrance of Africa make Villa Joséphine a unique guesthouse in Morocco.

Founded in 1471 at the time of the reconquista, Chefchaouen welcomed the Andalusian Jews and Muslims, expelled from Spain. The city was built at 600m altitude on the Rif chain, a good reason to discover the place and enjoy its clean air, but also its beauty and its environment.

Very often described as the cultural capital of Morocco, Fez is totally charming us by its rich architectural, historical and intellectual heritage. Visiting Fez is therefore undeniably making a leap in the past. You will appreciate walking up and down the narrow streets of the medina, lose yourself in the souks or admire the refinements of the architectural details of the Karaouine mosque.

Where to stay ?

There is nothing like staying in the heart of the bustle of the city and enjoying to the end your immersion in the medina .. It is at the Riad Palais Bahia that we recommend you to put down your suitcases during your stay. A real haven of peace, this renovated and modernized palace is just perfect to rest from the hustle and bustle of the city. You can enjoy the lovely swimming pool to cool off during the hot summer hours or enjoy the beautiful terrace to admire the sunset on the heights of the city ..
